More than 100 policymakers, including representatives of the European Institutions and Member State health authorities, attended the high-level conference on ‘Implementing national obesity policies and action plans in Europe’ in Brussels on 10 May, 2017.
The policy conference was organised by the European Association for the Study of Obesity (EASO) to coincide with European Obesity Day 2017, held on 20 May.
Delegates discussed the need for more effective strategies to address the growing obesity epidemic and heard from a wide range of speakers about the challenges they face and best practice examples.
